The same approach that wins England most of their ODIs is going to get them utterly rinsed on occasion. As a result, they’re almost certainly the most interesting ODI team right now.

Utterly rinsed by three wickets there...
Obviously 8/5 was shit, but we played pretty well from that point on!

Gosh darn English bowlers bowling well, contradicting my point... the batsmen will get utterly rinsed, then.

Interesting game. Let down by six overs of absolute bollocks.

Inspired by IPL coverage:
Why isn't Jofra Archer eligible for England? It's been over 3 years since he played for WI U19s, and he has a British Passport. That's enough isn't it?
Articles keep talking about a 7 year residency, but from what I can tell from the ICC regs he doesn't need to qualify though residency at all - he qualifies already as a British national. So the only qualification period is the (3yr) cooldown on his playing for WI. Which has passed.
What am I missing?

Not a question I know the answer to, Jevans, I’m afraid. I just wanted to suggest that Tom Curran might be a shade better than the last England/Surrey LO bowler.
That haircut still needs work, though. A lot of work.

On the Jofra front, its a rule imposed for people who are eligible but only move to the UK after their 18th birthday, if he'd moved here as a child there'd be no issue, as it is he needs to reside here for 7 years, which if he ends up playing in every T20 tournament going, may even then be at risk. He'll be 27 by the time he is eligible too, bit of a waste.

The Jofra 7 year qualification criteria is an ECB one, so once they see how good he is they could change it back to 4 or even 3.
