what ridiculousness, the bowler who picked up 100 wickets this season isn't in the team.

Only 9 runs for Ballance this time but Lees has been pretty impressive, scored 86.

I didn't really intend to rule out anyone who'd played previously, just people who never will again, hence the inclusion of Bresnan.

The MCC win by 4 wickets. Bell the top scorer in the second innings with 66.

Judging by the bowlers in the second innings, I'd suspect that pitch may not really have been representative of mid-April English conditions.
Either that or Lyth is planning on getting back into the England team by usurping Moeen.

Which is good, I reckon! Give the team more practice in different types of conditions.
Also: why Harris should never be picked for England.

Darren Sammy's signed up with Hampshire for the T20, you even get a little announcement video to boot:

Sammy's T20 stats are appalling, no idea what the buzz is with him. All he does is hit it a long way... All the same seems like a top guy!

Don't think that is going to do anything to change things. If anything there will be more roads, which apparently are deemed fit.

ESPN's county previews have started appearing as the season gets very close, I remember them from last year. They're not that comprehensive or anything but they're always good for a reminder. First one is on Durham and I imagine there'll be one or two daily.
Edit: Oh nevermind, I see Balladeer has already mentioned them in another thread!

Yes, but in a different context. No reason we can't chat about them here. That said, doesn't look like either of those sides has much of a shot at glory this year, not in FC at least.
