With the 2015 season done, here's a place to talk team news, transfers, staff changes, stadium developments, and all things county circuit-related in any format until the new season's on us in April 2016.

I was going to make a list of all the confirmed comings and goings for next season... but perhaps that's better off as its own thread?
Also, how many times do I have to post to turn my Jade Dernbach into a Sam Curran?

INFINITELY MANY. But you won't stay as Jade for long, you'll be happy to hear. I think that this thread won't have much content if we don't include all the transfers, so go ahead. at Dexter.

Well, in the interests of having more than one thread, it's probably worth separating out confirmed from rumours/wild speculation/wishes, no?

I think this should be the rumours & discussion about moves. But I will create a thread of confirmed transfers

Fair enough, one for confirms and one for discussion sounds good!

Okay rumour time, George Dockrell officially released by Somerset. Could be a very good player for someone, especially in short forms, and a whole lot more reliable than Monty.

Footitt. Is he definitely leaving closed season? Most teams be interested I assume. Hoping somerset could get him but expect Surrey to revert to type and sign him blocking a place for a young player...

I think Footitt's leaving for Lancs, Surrey don't really need a pace bowler and Lancs surely need one given Chapple can't carry on forever and their pace bowling is thin.
Would love him at Durham to replace Onions, mind.

Hello, Sri. Agreed, Surrey don't need him, but when has that stopped them getting new players? Lancs do have a huge Chapple shaped hole to fill and Footitt probably is the best going at the moment. Willey would have been more of a like for like replacement. Anyone know if there was serious competition for his signing? I definitely do not want a football style transfer market in cricket, but there is (possibly as a consequence?) a lot more publicity and news around signings which is quite fun.
If Fotitt is on the move it will be to one of the test Counties.

Durham were rumoured to be in for Willey, but Yorks offered better remuneration financially and had Dizzy, Siddy and a championship winning squad as bargainning chips.

Bunch of interesting signings from Leics. Dexter, Horton and Pettini. Good to see them shore up the batting lineup.

The second part of my answer should answer why he chose Yorkshire.
