Andre Russell is unplayable at the moment. 377 runs at 75.4 with a strike rate of 220.46!! 39 sixes in 8 innings! Crazy stuff. KKR's top run scorer and he bats at 6. And then 7 wickets too (the most for KKR)... mid table but we'd be bottom without him. Innings include 65 off 25, 62 off 28, 49* off 19, 48* off 13 and 48 off 17.
So impressed by Dave Warner as well... top run scorer in the tournament.

Another bonkers IPL auction, you love to see it... Some very weird financial choices made as always.
13 Englishmen now involved next year, with Mumbai Indians the only team without one. Earning just over £5.1 million between them, which, for context, is nearly 2/3rds of what the 112 non centrally contracted players in the Hundred will earn combined.
Using the Hundred as a yardstick, Banton (108k) and Roy (161k) seem to be bargains, not earning much more for the IPL than they will at the Hundred. Chris Morris £1.1m and Hetmyer £833k seem two of the more dubious calls to me

Ridiculous fielding. Interesting how many comments are saying this should be a 6 regardless, would be a shame to miss out on such brilliant fielding & the catches like this

Sharjah is a very silly stadium, and leads to very silly games.
Fielding standards worldwide are ridiculous at the moment - Paul Walter did another incredible six save in the BWT final yesterday.
