Draft announcements today, despite the draft having been yesterday and already leaked all over the shop.
It's a bit of a farce really as most international sides are playing during the tournament, so any international signings are likely to be replaced at the last minute.
Once again, I suspect the women's tournament will be a whole lot more consistent and better run.

Last year's bottom side (men's), not sure there are many game changing signings there, especially if Pollard isn't available. Women's side look excellent though, three top notch overseas.

Lots of batting, but domestic bowling severely lacking in the men's side. Releasing Banton and then drafting him back is... odd. Not one Welsh player in the squad feels stupid from a marketing point of view - ECB really should have tried to get them at least some of Salt, Lloyd, Donald, Harris and Wasim. Nice to see where Alex Hartley popped up on the women's side, Beaumont in as captain feels a bit step forward - as a straight swap for Sophie Luff with Spirit, that feels like they got the best of the swap.

If Jos isn't in the test team, this lot should win everything. Buttler, Salt, Hasaranga, Russell, Evans. Yummy. Seam bowling not all that but who cares when they'll chase anything. Like the look of the women's side too, especially if Dottin can bowl

Fun top end of this squad but fairly underwhelming squad players. £60k for Adam Hose fees like overpaying. Nice to see Luke Wright getting a gig. Bowling looks pretty shit for the women's side, and no England regulars at all seems unfair.

That's erm... I can only assume they've picked the overseas based on availability, which might be an inspired choice, but might also look a bit strange when they line up Hilton Cartwright against Kieron Pollard. One of the strongest domestic groups though should see them competitive. Women's side look good, I've criticised LWH plenty but at that price point she's a great pick up.

Not really sure they needed Kohler-Cadmore, especially in the top bracket. Good player though, and adds to the strong batting feel. There are a lot of would-be-openers there though. Delighted to see Alana King getting a gig on the women's team, and putting Lanning and Sciver on the same side just feels flat out unfair on everyone else. Gotta start amongst the favourites.

It's Jack Leach! Regrettably they've not put him in the KP nuts shirt, which is a huge missed opportunity. He will not play. This team looks very strong, as you might expect. Slow bowling relies on Moeen & Livingstone, but that's no bad thing. Women's team is loads of fun, possibly the best second half of a squad of any team, although the top end doesn't compare with some of the others.

Rehan Ahmed is a LONG way up that squad list! Ahmed, Lintott, Moriarty to spin is loads of fun, Tim David an excellent overseas especially at that price. Won it last year, must start favourites this. Women's side looks great too.

Bairstow now missing the tournament. The central contracts thing is one of the messiest parts of the 100 already imo, with 6 teams getting 2 and 2 teams getting 1 (Brave really had 0, as we knew pre draft Archer wouldn't play). Then have Anderson and Broad not involved (which is fine).
For me, they should just be in the auction - there are players filling the paid slots in the test squad [Brook, COverton, Potts] and players in the centrally contracted slots that won't play tests [Buttler, SCurran, Malan] so really should just be teams signing players and some being unavailable - centrally contracted players likely just go for less if expected to be unavailable.
Anyway. These centrally contracted slots. Spirit: Crawley & Wood (injured) Fire: Pope & Bairstow (resting) Originals: Buttler & Robinson (injured/resting) Superchargers: Stokes (resting) Invincibles: Curran & Burns (released) Rockets: Root & Malan Phoenix: Woakes (injured) & Leach Brave: Archer (injured)
It's not great, is it

It's messy. Buttler being available for the full tournament is now so much better than anyone else on that list. Leach doesn't get in Somerset's T20 side. Not quite fair...

At a “sell-out” Ageas Bowl which is about 30% full with 15 mins to go and quieter than most Hampshire blast games… I’m confused

I'm trying to watch on TV and the opening commentary pair is Shastri and KP. What have we done to deserve this?

Creating unplayable conditions with your own fireworks is a terrific metaphor for this whole tournament really.

4 ball duck for Joe Clarke isn't the worst start to the tournament though mind.
