Ian Bell retiring come the end of the season, and with Jimmy Anderson having an end named after him at OT I am very hopeful that we'll be hearing "Wood runs in to bowl at De Kock from the Bell End" at Edgbaston next time SA tour.

53 for me. My most notable miss on 23 Tests, a particular shocker as a member of this forum. My memory of bowlers seems to be a lot better, all the bowlers I forgot only had 1-2 Tests. Took over 10 minutes to get two names from our last test

62 - but pretty sure I also missed the same ruddy faced number 23.

Heath Streak banned from cricket for 8 years for being a fixing baddy.
As a long-term Zimbabwe sympathiser, this is really very sad.

It's sad because it follows the same pattern time and again, players and ex players from the poorer (financially, not standard) nations offered life changing numbers for what can seem like harmless info, no amount of education or extended bans will stop it happening until these nations have more money to make dodgy offers that much less attractive

Ed Smith seems to have been given the boot! In management parlance, he appears to have been so successful his role is no longer required.

Ah yes, a 'tactical restructuring', hem hem.
No pressure, Chris Silverwood. Just coaching all three formats and being national selector. No pressure.

I see people are pretending to be shocked that the Aussie bowlers may have known anything at all about how and why the ball in their hands was reverse swinging all over the gaff.
The main amusement in all this is finding out Cricket Australia has an "integrity unit" - presumably they must work hand in glove with the ECB PR Department for most useless section of a governing body?

Thought the Brettig article today on this subject was really interesting, I hadn't noticed that reverse swing had dropped off in test cricket in the last 2 years, but if it has.....I wonder how much the Newlands backlash has stopped other teams bending the rules

Ah, Australian bowlers squirming. You love to see it.
