Yes, this pitch does not say five day dull draw to me... some up, some down already.

The medium-pacer getting the first wicket against England on what looks like a green seamer is excellent stuff.

Zak Crawley continuing to look gorgeous and technically correct whilst averaging 25.3 as an opener.
Good thing we got rid of unorthodox weirdos Burns (avg 30.5) and Sibley (28.94).
In case you were wondering, the highest average for any England player batting at 1 or 2 in the last five years is... M J Leach with 46.50 (admittedly from two innings).
This opening lark ain't easy. I like Crawley, but think he'll settle at three.

England got rid of them because they were unorthodox, not because they were bad. Sadly. I'd bring back Sibley at the very least. If he eats up thirty balls on challenging pitches, that's worth him eating up forty on flat ones.

Bowling Kyle...
Seems like England need more practice facing 75mph dob. We're being Darren Stevensed!

Yeah they were 100% right not to pick Matt Parkinson, we're not seeing Day 5 on this pitch. Or Day 4, I suspect.

Their collective lack of batting makes that difficult, particularly if you want to pick Mahmood too. They took this personally! Some dismal stuff, but honestly probably a good thing that we're not about to have a third bore draw

Agh, a crushing inevitably about that wicket after his 4, gutted and delighted for both of them, tho i feel the pitch has been put into perspective somewhat....

Have no idea what to expect tomorrow now, other than I think it'll be a whole lot more interesting than the first two tests.

Joke's on the WI, we're tricking them into keeping Campbell around for another several series.

It's just flashed up that Coverton just hit 140kmph.
That seems... unlikely. It did hit Campbell in the head too.

Oh heck. Things are happening.
Now for Bonner and Holder to put on a 200-run stand.

Amusing that after all the pitch it up chat, we've found success bowling short and not especially fast.
