Guerilla Cricket talking about 'Chris Virtue-Signals'.

Dunno what to think of that day. Was the pitch not breaking up, even though it seemed to be at first? Were England bad? Were the Windies good? A combination?

Jack Leach seems to be doing the opposite of Roston Chase's 8-for here - he's up to 5.8 expected wickets and has one which wasn't even a particularly good ball. Poor lad.

3rd new ball and only 360 on the board, thankless task bowling on this absolute shambles of a pitch.

Another attempt to make an interesting game out of a bad pitch that's doomed to be a draw, is it?

Cricket badger on twitter is so right, you should get more WTC points for an away draw and fewer for a home draw, a home team preparing shite tracks like this and the pitches in the Pak v Aus test series need some form of 'punishment' I can barely remember being as bored during an England series

That's a good idea, although not sure it would help in these specific circumstances as I can't imagine West Indies have major designs on being in the WTC final - they just need the money from five days of English fans filling the bars.
Make the finances more equal and maybe you get less of this. Maybe not, greed still happens to the already rich.
It's tough, I love test cricket in principle but I can't believe anyone who tells me they'd rather watch (watch mind, not check the scorecard occasionally) this than the white balls games against the Windies earlier this year.

Robinson apparently unfit for the final test, according to Dobell, with Coverton likely to come in for Fisher.
Which means Woakes has played all three tests away and probably made it much less likely he plays in England in the summer - you'd have to say that feels like the exact opposite of the right way to use him.
Sad not to see Parkinson, but at the same time, I'd want it to be as well as Leach (who for all the complaining has comprehensively outbowled every other spinner in the first two matches) and their collective lack of batting makes that difficult, particularly if you want to pick Mahmood too.

Chris Virtue-Signals still in the side. All hope is dead.

Sorry, why is Michael Vaughan on BT Sport?

Apparently the statute of limitations on being (allegedly) a racist bellend lasts one Ashes.

They didn't want to touch him to the point where they had to implement an entirely different commentary team three months ago and now they're putting him on the sofa when essentially nothing has changed regarding *why* he was missing?
Quite apart from that, I'd forgotten how much I didn't like him as a pundit.
"There must be no place for any form of discrimination in sport" reads Matt Smith, presumably with his eyebrows firmly raised.

One word: OPTICS.
Pitch looks a bit more fun! Surely one opener has to get out in the first five overs?
