This tweet has screenshots of the tweets for anyone who hasn't seen but wants to take a look,
Fwiw, I think most of us would struggle to say we've not made shitty jokes like these in the past when we were young and stupid, I know I have and I regret it and where i've had things on FB, like quotes from Chapelle show, I spent some time a few years back making sure I deleted it all as it doesn't represent the person i've grown in to.
The difference is that when I/my generation was 18/19 there was no social media and as the guy who tweeted points out, we'll prob see more and more of this now the generations who grew up with social media make debuts etc. The onus has to be on the individual to look back and delete anything they no longer agree with. As for Robinson, due to the sensitivity of the subject, I would expect that he'll get some kind of a ban on the back of this, which if he is genuinely contrite (and I have no reason to doubt that he is) I think will be an over reaction, where education and work with minority communities would be a better road to take, I just hope that this serves as a warning to others and hopefully people in a similar situation spending some time deleting shit they posted many years ago when they were different people and think about what they have previously posted

It's well beyond the scope of cricket but we as a society probably need to have a serious debate about what it means to make amends and forgive. I've seen lots of 'he should never play again' takes and lots of 'it was ages ago' takes and I'm not sure either are right.
He was an adult, clearly he's embarrassed by the person he was but that's not really enough either. I don't have a great answer, but certainly it jars with the messaging from the ECB. Same with Coverton, did a dumb thing and has never really addressed it seriously. Go and work for the ACE programme or chance to shine perhaps, if they'd even have them.
Fwiw I'm about three years older than him and I remember talking about being careful what people put on their social media. That said, it's a strange country we live in if we expect better from our bowlers than our prime ministers.

On a better note, Devon Conway 200 at Lord's on debut. Can't ask for much more than that!

Can't work out which is better, de Grandhomme's hair or his swing and seam movement!

Joe should take some lessons on rotating the strike from Rory.

Looks like I'm focusing on the county game today then!

Don't think we'll be seeing that much of Robinson for Sussex this season in red ball, absolutely nailed this debut hasn't he, tears run down the faces of County fantasy players up and down the land

Isn't he being forcibly dropped as recompense for his tweets?

ECB in a tricky position really, particularly if he's dropped for Coverton.
I wonder if nice Chris Woakes fancies a game?

Isn't he being forcibly dropped as recompense for his tweets? They are the rumours, but he'll be back in the test squad and team for the next series no doubt about it, and as always, it's June now so we won't be bothering with any red ball stuff til the weather turns

Absolutely excellent match for the openers. Just the grit we need. Not sure at all about Crawley.

Dom Sibley really is extremely effective at being Dom Sibley.

Wood, Stone, Broad, Anderson. Choosing to bat.
I hate all of this.

Wood and Stone should be fun. Obviously I'd always pick Jack Leach but balancing this side without Stokes/Woakes/Ali is genuinely difficult.
17,000 people sound great. And what better treat for them than seeing Dom Sibley and Rory Burns grind out the first session!

Sibley off the mark third ball, dunno what everyone's been complaining about.
