The game is going to be rained off anyways and will be a draw unless SA can force a result in three days.

Is indeed Vilas in. Anyone know anything about him?

Steyn has his 400th Test wicket.

Is indeed Vilas in. Anyone know anything about him? Not a lot about him, only really that a lot of people in South Africa feel he should have had his debut a few years ago. They feel when he averaged 48 in the 11/12 season he should have gotten a shot as Boucher's replacement

Yes, can't help feel that QdK is more of a short-format basher. Still, we haven't seen Vilas bat yet. One good catch though.

Sorry for the DoPo, but does anyone know anything about this Harmer fella? I thought that the Saffers were on board the Dane Piedt wagon. Is he injured again?

He is a decent off-spinner, much better than Moeen Ali, but arguably about as good as Nathan Lyon and on his day, slightly better. But he is a better batsman than Lyon.
He hasn't been in the greatest of form, but SA's spin ranks are bare as it is.

Cheers Sri. Now without the jab at Moe? I did think SA were wedded to Piedt, though.

Piedt's a better bowler and is younger. So I don't know why they would try Harmer, aside from maybe because of the tour to India, where the pitches might offer more turn.

That explains it. The Nevill approach.

Another reason why teams don't want to tour Bangladesh, aside from the lack of revenue generated is that it freaking rains all the time.

The Future Tours Programme would, should, have avoided this. I don't know if it actually set out this series. If so, moronic. If not, bring it back!
