Fascinating game in prospect now, can Dale become the second-fastest bowler to get to 400 wickets tomorrow?

I'd imagine it would be quite early that he reaches the feat tomorrow! Then Johnson can reach 300 next week.

It's not been a terrible innings, but Bangles would really like someone to go on and make a big one. Only the WK left...

Steyn still wicket-less, come on Dale, get to 400 soon.

We'll have to wait another day for that now! Decent day for Bangladesh, they'll be disappointed that neither Tamim nor Mahmudullah went on for big scores, either way they are in a good position and avoided being skittled by South Africa early doors.

Apologies for the DP;
Steyn moves to 399. Bangladesh probably didn't make the most of their position in the game to make a bigger lead.

They're probably not used to it and lost their heads a little.

What the heck is going on? Bangladesh with a good 1st innings lead. Is that a weakened South African side like the ones that England usually send to Bangladesh?

No de Villiers, who's been busy bringing the next generation of South African Sporting Superstars into the world. Otherwise the full team.

The only real weakness is De Villiers who would be in for Bavuma, other than that it's arguably their strongest team. With Elgar & van Zyl up top though it really outlines their opening frailties since Smith retired. van Zyl is a class batsman but his tests have been in the middle order so far & Elgar's been hit and miss, both need to play well really to try and cement a place at the top. I feel the openers door isn't firmly shut to others as yet. There have even been calls for Stephen Cook, a 32 year old, to be called up. It's a transition period for RSA.

The game is still Sa's to lose. Anyone who says otherwise is simply kidding themselves

Rain washes out fifth day and any hope of SA winning this game. 17 behind, with just one day to go, hopefully, if rain stays away, even an ABD blitzkreig won't be enough to make a game out of this.

It would have to be a Faf blitzkreig to even give hope. Means Steyn could be unlikely to get to 400 this test as well!

I have read that QDK may be dropped for Dane Vilas for the deciding test...
