To his credit, the ball hit a crack and deviated. Well at least he converted a start to a half century, so fair play to him. Good to see Anderson back in some form.

50 runs this morning, Stokes 45, Sibley 5. At this rate he will legitimately get to his hundred first despite the 87 run head start. Would be a bit funny...

Obviously Sibley scored the next ten runs after that. Good for the lad to get his maiden ton, but now it's time for the Stokes Show.
Good Lord he's good at cricket.

Fantastic knock from Dominic Sibley, England in a commanding position to square the series.

Stat attack just now on screen, only 19 of 272 balls bowled by Broaderson in this test would have hit the wickets. I mean, they've got good bowling stats in this test so may not be the right time to criticise, but for fuck sake lads, that's 2 modes of dismissal you are missing out on.

I absolutely will criticise now, should already have them two down. Malan isn’t going to set the world alight I shouldn’t have thought.
Dom Sibley though. 👌🏻

SA once scored 438 runs in 50 overs. They have 90 more to haul down the target. It would be fitting enough in that batting stood up and bowling were to desert them badly. All eyes on Bessy.

If Broaderson waste the new ball here then that is pretty much that.

Not Broaderson with the new ball, is it?

Curran with the NB, and gets a wicket! Sensible as Anderson was bowling better with the old ball than the new one, Root's captaincy has been good here, seemingly for once, wouldn't imagine there's much left to fear here with what is left in the SA batting line up. One thing I will say for Broaderson, is that they are very good at not bowling no balls, which cannot be said for a number of other seamers in this test series so far.

Starting to get twitchy. Would have brought Anderson on but it sounds like he’s off the pitch...

Tempted to attempting some reverse mockers by now withdrawing my compliments of Roots captaincy.....this last 20-30 mins has been a bit, erm, toothless. Still, a hell of a lot of overs left so will refrain from criticism just yet!

Here we go then....opening 40 min burst of Broaderson bowling short and wide of offstump exactly what the SA doctor ordered, so let's aim at the stumps. Please.
