And then almost immediately.....another decision turned around by DRS....it is v hard when it's moving like this, but he does seem to have some serious form issues

Ravi also missed that Sandakan bowled thirteen no balls in that spell yesterday. It nearly became important today!
That last wicket partnership was properly fun, but England deserved the clean sweep.
Leach 18 wickets @ 21.38 Moeen 18 wickets @ 24.50 Rashid 12 wickets @ 28.16
England, good spin bowling. Blimey. And the good thing is this doesn't feel like a once in a generation talent (Swann or Panesar, I realise same generation but stick with me) who is way ahead of the rest. It feels like there are more spinners in behind these that aren't a big step down.
Hopefully anyone complaining about the odd turning county pitch pipes down a little...
Lots of other plus points from the tour - we got Foakes into the XI and he's as good with the gloves as hoped. Bairstow looked like he might actually be able to bat in the top order, which would be a huge help to fitting everyone into the side. Buttler looked brilliant. Broad's shortened run up looks decent. Jennings seems to have secured a place as a specialist fielder (maybe we should just accept it and open with him and Chris Jordan?).
Onto the Windies!

Who expected that then? Marvellous. Caveated heavily (most of all by the toss, which I still think is disproportionately important especially in the subcontinent and needs looking into), but still marvellous.
And yes, they're good at spin-bowling! Which is going to be important again very soon.
The one thing England are going to have to do is accept that they can't get six bowlers into every side, not if they want to keep Jonny Root Buttler and Foakes. That leaves a dilemma that I'll save for the Windies thread.
