Another day, another century for Kohli. Nothing to see here.
This series might be an exercise in whether Kohli can score a century in every innings he bats.

Still averages 20.12 against us Interestingly only 27 against WI before this innings

Kohli is getting a very nice average-massage here. I shouldn't be too sarcastic, England of last year failed completely in the same grounds, but that's more indicative of them than their opposition, who remain plain bad.
Let's see if India has the same difficulty getting their opponents out. With Ashwin and Mishra on hand, I suspect not.

Impressive double from Kohli there.

My bad, it is so Ashwin can beat Sachin's record. He has already equalled one and overtaken Sehwag, MS and Ganguly in terms of most tons against WI.
Next target: VVS

Not quite the same though is it? What with WI being Very Very Shit these days. Too many 'Lax Men, not enough Chanderpauls.

Doesn't matter much to me, I've always been saying he should bat no.6 away from home Cuz he is a good batsman so glad they are trying him there and he's making the most of it.

The Windies batsmen should look at Kraigg Brathwaite and learn.

Who needs Ashwin when you have Umesh effing Yadav. Really happy for Shami as he has continued from where he left off before injury, undeniably our best fast bowler.

Two massively one-sided Test matches at the same time, what more could any cricket fan ask for?
Still, just as England might consider shuffling Woakes up a bit, so the WIndies might look at giving Holder and this Dowrich fella more batting responsibility. Holder coming in at 9 seems nonsensical when his Test cricketing temperament far outshines most of his side.
Meanwhile India's pace attack is actually looking threatening, and I'm not sure whether that's Mohammed Shami being rested or the WIndies being baws (or a bit of both).

actually Shami is really good. Admittedly the fact that Windies are pants has something to do with it. But he is genuinely good, can bowling everything, swing, bounce, pace, yorker and our best Test bowler away from home for sure.

So have we learned anything from that? Any surprises? Vaguely creditable hand once the game was already lost for the ninth wicket, and Kraigg with the extra 'g' might or might not be the new Chanderpaul, but in the end the result was the one everybody expected: a thumping win for India.
At least Kohli fans will be pleased. Double-ton, enforced the follow-on, the only thing he didn't do was prise out three wickets with dobble but with five bowlers he wasn't really required to.

Ashwin. Best all rounder in the world.

Well Carlos Brathwaite appears to be a better batsman than a test bowler.
West Indies are struggling to bowl teams out, the pitches they now have at home simply don't suit their attacks and their batsmen don't step up or just aren't good enough. Jermaine Blackwood promised so much but his temperament is such a big problem & now has 2 pairs in his last 4 tests. Chandrika is not good enough & shouldn't even be close to a test side, averaging 25 with only 1 first class century by the age of 26 is just embarrasing!
They need another opener and Bravo needs to step up.
