I'd been quite impressed with him until then, he seemed like he'd really improved... and then on his Test-best score, eight away from his maiden fifty, he nicks into the slips.

He was doing very well. He had put the cover drive away, and he a new guard on off stump, his movements and positions were all much better. After tea there might have been a few more loose balls and he could have made a 60 or 70 quite easily.
Then the naff dab. It's just really disappointing.

Bravo Jonny, and Moe to a lesser extent. England might actually do this, which is pretty incredible considering.

Really any lineup without Kane sucks. Especially when he broke the world record earlier today and did something that no one in that side has.

WOTAWIN
Bloody England putting us on tenterhooks. But what a team effort. Everybody made a significant contribution... apart from Vince who still made a 42 and effected a run-out. Very well played on what was not a great pitch. Great game.

Great win, pretty good situation to be in when you're saying Vince made no contribution, scoring 81 runs in the match and the run out! Finn semi-justified his inclusion but not really. Can't really justify dropping anyone on the back of just that game

So Pakistan show who are the real kings when it comes to capitulation under little or no pressure. Durham, learn from them. That's how you do it and that's why Pakistan can never be a great side. No.1 ranked side maybe but never great

Great win, pretty good situation to be in when you're saying Vince made no contribution, scoring 81 runs in the match and the run out! Finn semi-justified his inclusion but not really. Can't really justify dropping anyone on the back of just that game Vince made two semi-contributions, so I guess that adds up to one. Finn broke the back of the last innings like Wahab did to England in the UAE, for me that's a contribution and then some. Apparently bowled well without reward first time as well. The only worrying thing is that arguably Moe didn't really contribute with the ball, and you just know that as soon as he goes back down to eight he'll go back down to playing like a number eight. Meanwhile someone called "Jajes Vince" is a doubt for the final Test with a finger injury. I don't think that, beyond Vince and die-hard Vince fans, too many people will be upset about this. Stokes will presumably still be injured, so: Borthwick, finally? Argh, they changed the article after I linked to it! Oh well, definitely Last Chance Saloon now.

aaaand another disappointing innings from Vincey. Will we see the usual collapse now Cook and Root are out?

Sounds like he got a good ball to be fair, but does it quite make up for the others? I suspect not.

Vincey showing just why he isn't a Test batsman. It was a good ball but he didn't have to prod at that. Amazing morning for Pakistan.
