So, Windies have elected to field. Hopefully we can put up a good score because the thought of Jordan v Gayle later makes me very, very nervous.
Edit: Also, I hadn't considered this:
Just to clarify: India were favourites to win the WC; NZ beat them yesterday and England beat NZ in the warmups. So England are favourites, right?" Yes, Thomas. That's exactly how it works.

Cricinfo introduction to WIvsEng:
"Hola, peeps. What up, what up, what up? Ya'll ready to get ur freak on? It's time to get funky with match three of the Super 10s, featuring England's cool kids and the original Mothers of Invention, West Indies. Despite winning the competition in 2010, England's pajama cricketers have spent most of their lives dad dancing in the corner at big limited-overs events, with appropriately embarrassing results. "I've seen a horse fly, I've seen a dragon fly, but I ain't EVER seen an Englishman fly." The new lot, however, are super-duper fly, and ready to drop some fresh beats - which is pretty much how Eoin Morgan put it in his pre-match press conference. West Indies, well, they've been on the scene a little longer, and can still call on eight of the players who helped them to the title in 2012; they know they're a pretty groovy bunch (just ask DJ Bravo) and won't be backing down in this b-boy battle. And that's before we even mention Christopher Henry Gayle. Pop your collar because it's reputation versus potential tonight in Mumbai and only one team will be wearing an oversized clock at the end. This is Alan Gardner, getting down with the kids, and I'll be joined by Andrew "Bust a Move" McGlashan to bring you the action."
My goodness.

England will need more. Not convinced by their attack.
Also: "Andre Russell, meanwhile, has what looks like a dead squirrel on his head. That or a freshly died mohawk."
Hope it didn't come from the SA vs. Aus. T20...

England got more! 182!
Anyway, 182/6 is a reasonable score. Should be competitive. Will have to bowl well, but for the first game of a tournament I'll take it.

Gayle early but not too early... one of his 6 off 20 balls playing himself in innings would be pleasant.

Not the most fantastic start, it has to be said.

Jordan bowls an over for just 5. I start thinking he may be alright.
Misfield. 4 1 Wide Wide.

Stokes isn't doing well today. We really need Gayle quickly.

Picking Gayle's partners off slowly but I'd still be concerned if the Windies were 9 down and he was still there.

Yep. Get Gayle in the next over or two and we have every chance. But the longer Gayle stays the worse the odds get.

Poof. Run a ball from here. Defeated by inconsistant bowling and a Gayle special.

Bowlers getting creamed. Tough campaign for England now.
