What a horrible way to give the winning runs. Congrats West Indies, good way to notch up their first win over Aus women.

Very well played by the Windies. Here's hoping that one trophy today is enough for them, no need to be greedy eh?

Poor Joe getting stranded out there. Not an unfamiliar story though. Edit: Grats Windies.

The highest ever score in a World T20 final is 157/5.

Absolutely amazing game. Deserved champions. Gutted for Stokes. But boy was that glorious.
Men's T20 champion, Women's T20 champion, U-19 World champion. Windies cricket in crisis? What crisis?

Now that I've gotten over the disappointment, it was a fun tournament with lots of memorable moments. The epic run chase against South Africa, how Bangladesh completely bottled their chase on the last three balls, Kohli (who was deservedly man of the tournament) heroics against Aus. And not a bad tournament for England at all, only a year after that infamous 2015 World Cup. Funny to think they'd end up in a final in India. Hope Stokes will come back strongly, one poor over won't destroy him.
Clean sweep for the Windies in ICC tournaments this year though, an awesome feat. Sammy's speech was fantastic and I'm glad he laid into those who try to drag the side down.
Now, after all that excitement, just a week to go before we can all enjoy the return of county cricket!

Back to proper cricket at last! That was crushing, poor Ben. Such a shame. Best team won though.

Ben will fire Durham to the top, don't you worry. For some, this was the best cricket of the year, songster and I wouldn't disagree with that.
That speech was the highlight for me. moving stuff. Hope the treble can set them in the right direction.

I will say I enjoyed it (last over aside). Best cricket of the year? Hmm.
As for "the right direction", I don't know that anyone (apart from maybe a couple of ignorable pundits) has suggested that the WI has ever headed in the wrong direction in the shortest form of the game. The real kicker will be whether this inspires them to fire in the other formats, ODI as well as Tests. If they do then it'll be a godsend for the cricketing world.

It's quite surreal to see the ICC Team of the Tournament. It has 4 (four!) England players in it! I'm used to seeing none! Even better, just the 1 aussie and 2 Windies!
