In what was a rip-roaring contest, Kane Richardson's five-fer which helped restrict Queensland still wasn't enough as South Australia won by one run with a ball to spare. When you bowl a spell of 10-1-35-5, you certainly don't deserve to be on the losing side. Here is the scorecard and match report : www.espncricinfo.com/matador-bbq-cup-2015/content/story/927859.html

Here is the scorecard and match report : www.espncricinfo.com/matador-bbq-cup-2015/content/story/927859.htmlA very confusing game that South Australia won. The match lost an over for some reason which meant the match was reduced by an over (which seems like a pretty pointless change). Kane Richardson's five-fer deservedly gave South Australia the win. Last night Nic Maddinson got himself another brilliant 118* and Mitchell Starc got another 5 wicket haul as NSW ran home easy winners against Tasmania. www.espncricinfo.com/matador-bbq-cup-2015/engine/match/895887.htmlIn the other game, it was a low scoring affair with Victoria defending 225 against Western Australia. Victoria were 103/6 but a partnership of 81 between John Hastings & Dan Christian saved them. Cameron Bancroft's 64 was in vain as he and Ashton Agar (33) could not steer WA home.

Looks like Cricket Australia XI are there to help improve the batting averages!
Feel for Marcus Harris, it's always great to see an opening batsman finish 44* with the rest of the team skittled... Find it odd really that he's playing for CA XI, his last first class game for Western Australia he got 81 & 158*. (He looks a bit like David Warner in his pictures)

The competition is over.
NSW win, Starc with another three-fer.
South Australia did well to get to 221, but the score was chased into 30 overs.
