I'll go for Punjab as my team. I know lots of people who have family in this region and who doesn't love Harbhajan Singh?

Apologies, Sri, i know next to nothing about the Ranji Trophy so bare with me over the coming weeks. Absolutely no problem at all. The best part about Ranji Trophy is that my team, Tamil Nadu, who are playing a home game starting tomo, have their game televised. Which means that, even if I am busy, I will at least get to see my team play.

We need the reasons Matt, however silly they might seem. Sorry for the delay, been a combination of busy and ill this last week! In no particular order: - Bengal tigers - It's approximately where Britain has a settlement in Empire: Total War - It doesn't seem an obvious choice - It looks quite pretty - None of there players annoy me (yet!) I don't have any sort of personal connection to India - closest would either be that my dad's ship went to Mumbai, or my girlfriend's sister's boyfriend is Indian. I thought about Mumbai, but it'd mostly be because of Rahane and Iyer.

That's plenty reason enough

If it was Australia we were talking about it would be easy, because I was born in Western Australia.
Anyway, I look forward to Bengal's opening game next week.

Mine is Western Australia too, but that is mainly thanks to Perth Scorchers, my second fav domestic T20 side after Chennai Super Kings.

Turns out my above mentioned girlfriend's sister's boyfriend is from Chennai/Tamil Nadu.
I found the coincidence vaguely amusing.
