Canada sneaked a win over UAE today which sees them as the only team with 2 wins from 2. Still anyone's though, quite fancy Oman to come through strong after their win against Nepal. That's why I enjoy WCL events, every game has context and many final placings come down to NRR so you see a lot of quick run chases.

WCL Division 2 starts today in Windhoek. Top 2 go through to the World Cup qualifier so kid of a big deal. UAE probably favourites, anyone's guess for who joins them. I’m going to go with UAE no longer being favourites any more.

That is the beauty of WCL tournaments, you cannot predict who will be favourites as everyone can beat each other.

Oman.
What the heck exactly.
Kenya making a balls-up of their game too.

So with Namibia thrashing Kenya today that makes their match tomorrow against UAE a winner takes all shootout. Promotion, a chance at a World Cup, their professional careers, performance related funding, all up for grabs. No pressure then...

And the same applies to Canada vs Nepal of course. And I don't have a scooby who is going to qualify. Will stick my neck out and say Canada and UAE.

It is unbelievable the pressure Associate teams face every tournament they play, something the bigger teams don't know about however bad they play or however much they lose.

I’ll go with Namibia (home team, on the up) and Canada.

And at the halfway point it looks like I might have been wrong on both counts.

Which is why I think the West Indies might struggle in the upcoming World Cup Qualifier. They aren't used to playing games with so much meaning.

Nepal vs Canada shaping up to be a nailbiting finish. Nepal don't seem to be able to do it any other way.

They’ve been allowed to get much closer than they should’ve, them and Namibia.
