The England batting order is a Bactrian camel. Long thin neck, Root as one hump, Stokes as the other, Bairstow and Foakes as the still kind of skinny body in the middle, and a pretty much non-existent tail.
Oh and they've done the classic England Test thing of picking three opening bowlers. Although this time to be fair they didn't have a lot of other options.

In breaking news, Broad and Anderson are quite good at cricket.

Poor Jack Leach must spend his winters smashing mirrors for all the luck he has. The range of bizarre injuries and horrible illnesses he gets, then concussed after half an hour of his first test at home for three years.

"...and Michael Vaughan is here!" (turns off TMS)Christ alive, just switched on TMS and he's trying to claim Dom Bess should have been the concussion sub.

Just realised our tail is now Potts, Broad, Parkinson and Anderson. Cripes.

Agreeing with Vaughan yet Nemo? Durham are never seeing Potts again are they. Either because he'll be playing for England, or broken from being made to bowl eight-over spells.

On the other hand, Somerset's odds of winning the CC in the next couple of years rising nicely with the performance of Potts and the debut for Parky...

Although Potts' pace is notably down on his first spell... and now he's gone off injured mid over. This is even faster than England usually manage to break bowlers.

Crawley is definitely the guy you want opening if the opposition bowlers are bowling shite.

Very odd from Crawley there, who seemed to genuinely not know he'd got a fairly obvious nick behind.
Ugh he's frustrating. You can absolutely see why they want him in the side but he just can't quite pick the ones to attack.
