England should qualify from their group easily, but not sure after that. I think India or Pakistan are favourites for the tournament.

Yeah India and Pakistan tend to do very well at age group tournaments, English system doesn't really seem to bring players to close to their peak until after U19 level generally.
Read a few lovely articles about the young Afghan refugee lad playing for Ireland, so keeping an eye out for him and hope he does well.
Otherwise I only really know the Somerset U19s - George Thomas seems to be opening, he's a decent all rounder in the mould we seem to bring through a lot of. James Rew should keep, he played against India in that tour game in the summer and acquitted himself well, and Sonny Baker went mildly viral last April - quick and bowls hooping inswing.

Nivethan Radhakrishnan looks like an interesting prospect for Australia, bowls spin with both arms.

Impressive first win from England, beating Bangladesh in half the overs available.

Comfortable win for England over Canada with captain Tom Prest starring with both bat and bowl. Meanwhile, South Africa seems to have a gem in Dewald Brevis, with nicknames 'De villiers 2.0' and 'Baby AB'.

Jacob Bethell casually scoring 88 off 42 today as England absolutely torched SA with 19 overs to spare. Wow.

Bethell and Rehan Ahmed look like good prospects for England, another amazing knock from Brevis too.

Strange second QF today. Afghanistan managing to collapse twice in the same innings pretty impressive, as is Sri Lanka losing FOUR wickets to runouts including 42-6 & 43-7 when you'd think staying in was paramount, and the final wicket when requiring 5 from 4 overs.
Hard to say with little comparable data, but based on that game I assume England are pretty strong favourites to win the semi now, and make only a second ever final (1998 the first)

Saw a bit of the semi-final, thought England were going to blow it after the no-ball debacle. But fair play bowling Rehan Ahmed at the death, that took some guts. The kids are alright.

Pretty standard Indian 50 over batting card there, seemingly about 3 or 4 anchors and a wicket keeper who goes fkin nuts.....no idea if its par, but if they get chased down, they'll certainly rue some oddly slow batting up front

England batting first in the final, Bethell & Prest out early. Over to Somerset to rebuild now - Thomas and Rew in together, with Thomas just dropped at slip.
