Cricket needs more multiball. If they wanted to cut the length of the T20, they should just have had one bowler bowling from each end. 20 overs becomes 10!
Also: more swords.

Was pretty pleased with having 400-odd-point James Vince in my fantasy team
Turns out the opposition has him captained. Bugger.

Well, on seeing the squads for today's double header I'm sure plenty of sports writers were hoping for "Salt and Pepper end Hampshire's t20 Season(ing)" or at least "Sussex rub Salt into the wounds" if Essex had knocked us out. But glad James Vince had other ideas, even if one of those was thwacking his own stumps.
Now after Hampshire did Somerset a favour in beating Gloucestershire on Wednesday in the Championship, it's only fair Somerset do the same for us on Sunday, right? (in b4 we lose to Glamorgan after doing all the hard work, exactly like in 2019)

Considering the problem's they've had this week I'm amazed Kent managed to win so easily last night. Middlesex must be very bad. A home quarter-final now too!

Middlesex absolutely are very bad. So much less than the sum of their parts, it's remarkable. Must be big pressure on Stuart Law.

Hampshire with the best chase I've seen... maybe will ever see! Thought the heat was making me delirious; if anyone needs me, I'm on cloud nine!
I joked to my Dad after our vapid loss to Surrey a few weeks back that we just had to win 8 in a row and the title was ours, we've done 5 and may yet fall short tonight but never saw this coming!! 'Mon the Spitfires & Somerset!

Joe Weatherley not the player I expected to have a 300+ strike rate in that side!
Even Middlesex managed a win through unlikely T20 star Sam Robson.

It never rains but it pours - poor James Bracey now having to self isolate after his nightmare month.

14.2 Somerset 89/5 20.0 Somerset 183/7
Tom Lammonby has just played one of the great rescue innings, 90 off 37 balls and hitting the ball 360 degrees. There's a player there, dodgy few months but he'll make it at the very top level.

Thank you Lammonby <3 Thrilling end to the group stage, 4 from 9 always seems to produce that!
Worcestershire close to knocking out Warwickshire in the North Group too, but ultimately the 6 teams in the CC D1 all sneak through into the quarters, which feels rare

Rashid Khan is beyond unreal. If you don't get him out within about 3 balls he'll punish you, and not a bad bowler...
276 t20s now and still only 22 years old?!

Yorks embarrassing on and off the field. Tough to support at the moment with the race report still under wraps so not that othered about losing tonight, would've been absolutely tonked at finals day anyway.....fielding was a total shambles, bizarre captaincy too giving Lyth an unnecessary 2nd over and bowling himself over 19

Saw the last 10 overs or so of the chase. Really odd boundary and Rashid Khan was playing some frankly silly shots at times. Lovely to watch.

What a game! Imagine what the blast could achieve with the same backing as the fkin 100, 2 great but different qfs with full grounds
