T20 cricket tends to be slightly more interesting when weaker teams are playing and there's a good chance they'll both be bowled out in the twenty.

This looks a massively open tournament. Group A on paper looks by far the weaker, and despite Netherlands in poor recent form, they should qualify along with Scotland. The 3rd team is more difficult to predict but I've gone for Namibia to be different, PNG have gone backwards and I can't see any of the others putting together a consistent run. Group B is tough, tough, tough. Ireland are the strongest, but otherwise it's anyone's. By all accounts UAE have been stung by selection problems and have a weaker squad than usual, so I'm not too sure about them. Oman look the best of the rest and I'm going for Canada as an outside bet, were in imperious form in the recent Challenge League and bat well all the way down. Decent spinners too.
Watch all these predictions backfire spectacularly...

Is there anywhere you can see squads for this? Normally there's a random county player who has found a new nationality (looking at you Gerraint Jones) that I always enjoy.

Excellent find, that makes it a whole lot more useful than the tournament website or Cricinfo, both of which only had Scotland's side.
Delray Rawlins for Bermuda and Colin Ackermann apparently now Dutch the ones I noticed. Obviously lots of the Scots/Irish/Dutch are familiar too.

Rawlins played for Bermuda in the regional qualifier which was arguably the main reason they qualified ahead of the USA...

Singapore: sleeper threat? That's a good score to rack up against Scotland.

Singapore: sleeper threat? That's a good score to rack up against Scotland. So it seems, pulling off a 2 run win is a huge upset. Sets the cat amongst the pigeons straightaway.

This feels like a tournament where a lot of cats and a lot of pigeons are going to be in close proximity. Fun start!
