Started a few hours ago. Saffers very much a team in transition, India batting first on a road, looking very predictable at the moment.

Looking grim. On the bright side hopefully this innings will delude them into thinking that Jason Royhit can make it as an opener.

Good fight shown from South Africa, Dean Elgar is a very good player of spin.

Strange game this one isn't it? You'd look at a score card with 500/7 and 400/8 and think its a massive road easy to bat on but only 4 or 5 players have actually made a good score on this pitch and there have been quite a few failures.

It is really not great when a foreign team tour the subcontinent and lose all the tosses. Remember that England tour of the UAE when Misbah won all three? And England lost 2-0? ‘Happy’ days.

9 tosses in a row lost for Faf now. Maybe the toss rule in CC could extend to Test matches as well? Might redress the imbalance between home and away series wins.

Unfortunately not the problem here, as the CC rule was put in place to remove the effects of green mambas. Perhaps it should be the other way around in Asia? Teams can opt to bat first or have a toss?

Do think the other way round would be better for tests, in the majority of test matches whoever wins the toss tends to bat, give the visitors first call then maybe it could redress some of the imbalance with teams rarely winning away

Faf lost another toss. Even took his mate with him for moral support. Done a bit better with the ball to make up for it though.
