Kent's first bowling point secures their Division One status for next status. Which is all I hoped for in April. Pleased.

Essex get their 2nd bowling point but still likely have to follow the biggest score of the round so far... whereas Somerset lead on a definite result wicket - advantage Somerset

Someone on twitter has worked out that in the 40 games in charge Gale has had we've secured 69 out of a possible 200 batting points. That's appalling.

Matthew Lamb is fast becoming my favourite cricketer, neck and neck with Tom Abell...

Sounds bad, but the other teams that've been ever-present in that time: Hants 71 Essex 73* (39 games) Somerset 81 Surrey 116 Yorks just about the worst but really it's just Surrey are significantly better than the rest (Sanga, Burns, Pope, Stoneman etc etc). Interesting though, shows 300 is actually an above par score on average (mainly because of September games...) ___ Edit - just adding relegated teams as I was intrigued... Lancs 52 in 28 games (works out as 74) Midds 28 in 14 games (works out as 80) Warks 40 in 26 games (works out as 62) Notts 32 in 26 games (works out as 49) Kent 31 in 12 games (works out as 103) Worcs 23 in 14 games (works out as 66)

91 off 59 balls for James Vince (before being caught behind driving...) in a low scoring game. He's fantastic at getting himself to the edge of England contention time and time again

500 first-class wickets for a certain Mr Stevens. Actual hero.

Josh Davey is the eighth different Somerset bowler to take a five-for this season. Last time that happened, the seasons had 31 games. Serious strength in depth.

Laughably poor by Yorkshire once again, glad to see Somerset take good points though, hope the title finally makes its way down to Taunton.
