Although the weather in England isn't great, Belfast's forecast is dry and overcast so hopefully Ireland's qualifier won't be disrupted! (And it means we will have some cricket to discuss!)

Possibly not me for a while. Off to the cardiologist for the final stage of my MOT. I have to do a stress test, as if work were not stress enough.

Go Oranje. Netherlands are looking solid and Van der Merwe looks a splendid signing.

They won, barely breaking sweat in the process. Poor Nepal. Devastated country and they are trying to play cricket.

He's ruled out cardiac problems, but wants to do some other tests. I do those when I get back from the UK.
30 minutes on a treadmill at gradually increasing speed and with the slope increasing progressively. Finished walking at 8km/h with the treadmill inclined at about 20 degrees before he gave up trying to tire me.
Afterwards the guy revealed that he had been a Sargent in in Medical Corps of the Spanish airforce. I'd never have guessed!

RE Nepal, Ireland's bowling was simply outstanding. Very few associates would have coped.
RE your appointment , good to here it isn't cardiac problems! Sounds like you've had more exercise than most of the county players today! So the real question with him being ex army is; Did you pass to be a Private?

"Excellent capacity for exercise", so I guess, yes.
It's a pity that in a BCCI-dominated world Ireland will never get Test status until an Asian side is ready to be promoted too. I really do believe that Ireland would provide strong opposition for Bangladesh, Zim and the West Indies, especially at home. Sri Lanka & Bangladesh were promoted to Test status on the basis of far more tenuous evidence.

Excellent!
Definitely, I don't think anything has angered me as much as Ireland being denied Test status. Everything is in place! Bowling wise they need more, but the could definitely trouble Bangladesh, West Indies & definitely Zimbabwe!

Big wins for Oman and PNG, beating Afghanistan and Ireland. Group B wide open.

Scotland qualify for the T20 WC, that's a great rally for their last few games (with a little help from the Netherlands defeating Kenya).

Wicket maiden in T20, well done Haseeb Amjad and HK. Having said that, I still fancy Afghanistan and Netherlands to win and make it into the World T20 next year.
