More and more stories coming out today about ball tampering, with Warner being villain number 1 on this front, to go with his villain number 1 title on about 4 or 5 other things.....Lehman's name coming up everywhere too, he'll not come out of this looking peachy.
I can definitely see Warner being stood down for the last test and Lehmann going too

Vaughan trying to pretend his 2005 team taking mints onto the field purely to tamper with the ball was somehow not cheating is exhausting.

I didn't think this could get better, but Warner and Lehmann shaping up to be the fall guys is just perfect. Just perfect.

On one hand, talking gleefully about the end of someone's international career is crass, awful and distasteful, on the other hand, the man is possibly the most disliked international cricketer home and abroad and has in all likelihood been cheating for a while. Initial reaction was to laugh, a lot, and loudly, but maybe a lifetime ban is a bit ott in this case...can't decide...

Smith, Warner and Bancroft sent home. That and the fines will do for me, no further action needed IMO

Like heck Lehmann and the bowlers are innocent though.

On the bowlers front, there was a fair bit of noise immediately suggesting that 1 bowler was furious at being associated, and then further to suggest a few were pissed, i'm kind of prepared to give some benefit on that side....but...on the Lehman side, bollocks did he not know, the footage of him sending a message out on the walkie talkie, Bancroft being directly spoken to then him sticking the tape (or sandpaper) down his pants suggests that there are porkie pies going on. I doubt he'll last past this series, a forced resignation in the offing

12 month bans for Warner and Smith 9 month ban for Bancroft Simultaneously massively overreacting and attempting to restrict it to a much smaller group than anyone believes involved. Good job. Bancroft just became available for Somerset all year... will be helpful for Coverton getting reverse swing

Does feel like a massive overreaction.

So turns out they even tried to cover up what they had done when 'admitting' what they had done, CA have specified that it wasn't tape, but that it was sandpaper all along.....I no longer think this was an over reaction and that the bans are justified. Pillocks, utter pillocks
