I sometimes get the impression you don't really like Kohli SB......

Surprised he didn't use DRS actually there.....maybe he's in a generous mood....could have gone a couple of times earlier in the innings like tho

Done my 5 least and most fave....Kohli is in there too, as a non Indian he's hard to like, which is strange because I liked and enjoyed watching players like Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman etc.

Sri, question. What, theoretically, does Ishant Sharma do? Bhuvi is swing, Shami is reverse swing, Bumrah is skiddy pace... What does Ishant offer? Line and length? Ishant offers extra bounce with his height. A similar comparison I'd say is Broad. Although on this surface even Bavuma will get that bounce. Bumrah is not exactly skiddy pace but he is supposed to clean up tail with yorkers and has awkward action.

Fascinating test match this, as the previous 2 have been as well, lower scoring matches do seem to me to have more to them....maybe there is something in having 4 day test matches (puts on tin hat) coupled with more ranking points for an away draw than a home draw to encourage pitch preparation to be more result oriented (think this second point would be a good one for the county championship too - 4 and 6 rather than 5 and 5). Can safely say that it would encourage me to watch more test matches not involving England if there was more going on with the ball

These last 2 wickets could decide the match i reckon, SA squeeze ahead by 20 or so and they're in the driving seat, somewhere around par and i'd rather be batting 3rd than 4th on this pitch

Lead of 7 erased before losing a wicket, huge achievement. Although sending in a keeper to open the innings to show intent. Don't think I've hated an Indian captain more.

Feels a bit Jimmy mk. 2 at the moment. And Bumrah has definitely done that...

Wash your mouth out, Jimmy mark 5 or 6 maybe......Broad's basically the equivalent of your good county bowler (but at international level), bit of line or length, keeps it tight, often wangs it in too short, in helpful conditions is handy but that's about it. Anyway, back to India SA and away from my irritation with Broad, India are in a good position at the moment, thought they bowled superbly, staggering that Kumar didn't play the 2nd test! I also think that the plan to try get the scoring rate up is a good one, there's a ball round the corner with everyone's name on so take whatever runs you can while you can...a lead of 150 could be enough in this one
