Somerset have an impressive line in losing having taken a first innings lead. Probably because we have two batsmen averaging over 24.

Take a bow Nicholas Selman!!!! What an immense effort by Glamorgan to knock those runs off vs Durham! Things looking v grim in Div 2 for Durham this year, think most of us expected them to be there or there abouts, even with the -48, could be a long horrible season

It's been an utter shambles, and a little tricky to pinpoint why. On paper, their batting looks a bit holey, despite having Cook (not that one) Jennings and Collingwood; yet Steel and Clark have been stepping up to an extent. Their bowling should be perfectly competent for div. 2, yet Rushworth and Onions haven't been quite terrifying, and the less said about the others the better.
Overall, though, it's probably just a psychological thing, and I can't blame the players for that. Going in at -48, with a feeling that everyone has it in for you (when in fact it's just the ECB): can't be easy to play like that.
Hopefully they'll pull their socks up next season, when winning might actually look not impossible. Two qualifiers to the tripe performance, mind: Stokes hasn't played a single champo match this season due to the Ipple, and Durham would have (unconvincingly) qualified for the knockout stages of the RLODC had it not been for the points deduction.

Been suspecting this for a while what with his amazing form this season but Kyle Abbott being pictured wearing a jumper in his 76* today just proves the guy's not human.

I see Derbyshire have decided to become the banter county, including a 16 year old in the team (great figures in fairness), then opening the batting with two tail-enders. They'll still probably win the match!

To be fair that's the only way I'm going to remember Derbyshire.

Archer 42 off 14 today. It's only Leics., but he continues to look tremendously promising. Odds of an intrigued English or West Indian selector passing by?

Extremely disappointing news, losing another player who came through the academy.

Weakest batting line up for many a decade, Yorkshire in desperate trouble. Is the live blog on cricinfo no more?

Can't find it Lawrence. If that's the case then that really will be the last straw re. the redesign.

The ironic thing is they refer to the award winning blog but it cannot be found. Yorkshire break 3 figures!
