Maiden fifty from our new favourite all-rounder.

I actually think Compton will be just fine. He has looked absolutely miserable at bat, as though cricket isn't fun for him anymore. In fact, the happiest I've ever seen him all tour was when the camera scrolled to him yesterday cheering for Bairstow's hundred. I could be wrong, but I suspect there's far more relief in him than anything else.

Jonny has every right to be aggrieved at the tail, especially Finn. Just stay in, block it out, help the man smash some records! But no.

Reckon the tail has every right to be aggrieved at Jonny, seeing the number of catches he drops.
Okay, bit harsh.

Was thinking something along the same lines to be honest!

Woakes strikes first ball, hopefully he gets a few more.

Daryl Mitchell can't play in the first division, let alone internationally. (Neither can Vince according to the stats...)
WOAKESY!
Our own Hypocaust telling it like it is.

My boy Woaksey! (and yes Mitchell is terrible, but the Worcs peeps now fancy him a bowler which I find funny hence the sticky outie tongue)

Ha! Fair enough.
Woakes rocking and rolling Sri Lanka. Good for him, he's had such a hard time, and he actually has some pace. To think that Stokes, Wood, Ball AREN'T playing in this match: if there's one area where England aren't having a problem, it's seamers.

Off to Lord's tomorrow, hoping it will stay dry enough. Will probably see Compton's last innings, hope for his sake it's respectable.

Especially good live text today, filled with limericks. Especially good cricket morning as well.
Nemo I think you may have to contend with (a) the weather and (b) the Sri Lankan tail. Not sure they'll stick around for all of today, Compton may be out before you reach the ground if the weather stays good.

Really worth listening to TMS over lunch. Josh Widdicombe is getting the best out of Aggers.
