What do you think of recent attempts by the ICC to improve cricket in the Americas and can cricket fully take off in America?

Im hoping it will, the influx will have been aided domestically by Ashraful playing. But the ICC wouldn't have liked that.

Looks like a successful start for the ICC Combine.

I honestly don't believe the vast majority of Americans will ever understand test cricket. We are the country that's just tried to force me to choose between Hillary and Trump (I will vote for neither...jokes on you suckahssss). Draws are not something Americans are a kin to. T20, however would go down a scream. Especially if you get Kimmy and Kanye to sponsor man bags for the players to put their extemporaneous attire into as opposed to the umpires acting as coat racks.

Oh c'mon! I know this isn't the place for politics, but if you're not going to vote for Hillary, at least vote AGAINST Trump! The rest of the world implores you!

Corrupt enabling racist v corrupt womanizing racist. Now there's a choice. Just because one side is more vociferous than the other doesn't make it less true that Hillary has her own racist past. The fact that she'll even have her name on scholarships and endowments with J William Fulbright....let me just stop right there and say Nah. I think I'll just stick to that other great American pastime; prayer. Surely someone is going to come along and save us all!

Christ on a cream puff, I'm trying to "get" it. I really am, but how do the Euro and KFC (kiddie effing cricket) have anything on the County Championship?! Admittedly I'm not up to speed on all the trends or anything, but surely there is still a large contingent of Americans who just don't get soccer. And with baseball being rather shite & basketball over, I can't help but think there's a rather fantastic ad campaign for American Cricket in there somewhere.

Now that the governing body of USA cricket has been expelled by the ICC after 50 years of not doing much, there's a chance we could see the game really take off in the next decade. Of course this is dependent on forthcoming structures and proper governance, but there are potentially exciting times ahead. An outside bet for the 2027 World Cup? You never know...

USA U19s failed to make it to the forthcoming World Cup after losing to Canada in the final match of the Americas tournament. Went out on NRR.
