Fantasy team on 950 points and Stevie Eskinazi has 898 of them. Yes, skippering him this round has gone rather well.

It's lovely watching a Somerset bat successfully block the good balls and not go chasing everything.
On the other hand, this is a white ball game Andy... 23 off 52 isn't a classic innings.
Looking forward to seeing him play CC mind.

Not the catchiest records, but Eskinazi having the best List A 3 game aggregate and being the first ever to hit three 130+ scores in a row definitely highlights the Hundred omission. Not far off doubling 2nd place in the run charts!
[On another note, that Rohit Sharma is in contention for that aggregate record with one of his three scores being 9 is also pretty incredible]

Fun game at Taunton today between a Middlesex side with Eskinazi & three test batters in the top four and a Somerset side with no bowler older than 26 and an average of under 22. The oldest player was Ollie Sale, who has played 12 professional matches and been out injured for two years.
Much closer than I expected, with a run out with scores level meaning that Middlesex won by one wicket.
James Rew is a serious talent. A FC ton and a List A ton and he's still 18 - and the really exciting thing is how late he plays the ball. It's a bit like watching a left handed Kane Williamson, which is a fearsome comparison but it's the one that sticks out...

The county streams really are an amazing addition. Trying to follow Hampshire, Alsop, McManus & King Stevo and it's never been so easy

Thought I'd do a U21 team of the tournament seeing as the youth development is very much the upside of this (to be clear, I enjoyed the whole tournament even if Somerset were bobbins).
Ali Orr - 21 - 455 runs Tom Prest - 19 - 402 runs Harry Duke - 20 - 330 runs Tom Lawes - 19 - 318 runs, 8 wickets James Rew - 18 - 307 runs Toby Albert -20 - 294 runs John Turner - 21 - 18 wickets Luke Hollman - 21 - 13 wickets Scott Currie - 21 - 17 wickets Kasey Aldridge - 21 - 13 wickets Luc Benkenstein - 17 - 10 wickets (5 games)
Also promising performances from Yousef Majid (9 wickets), Sonny Baker (9 wickets in 3 games), Hamid Qadri and plenty of others.
Annoyingly, Hampshire seem to have a decent next generation coming through!

Lancashire and Hampshire taking very different routes to very similar totals. Kent and Sussex will both do well to chase these.

Pretty incredible stuff from Stevo! Really bogged Hampshire down at times with a 10 over spell(!) and then sublime knock aside from a few early mishaps. It was like watching England bowl at the tail, do wonder what would've happened if our plan to Stevo wasn't exclusively bouncers. With Blake apparently breaking his hand (seemed to be while taking a pretty simple catch) the knock is probably even better and more back against the wall than it appears. If this man isn't playing county cricket in 2023 - maybe through another Kent u-turn - I'll be amazed
With Vilas' ton too we really see the value of big game experience to go on and make those match winning contributions, the two oldies still shining today!

Kent have announced they're sticking with the squad that has got them this far and not including the likes of Billings & Bell-Drummond. Hopefully Lancashire do the same (and I'd back them to win with the current squads) although must admit Buttler + Salt + Livingstone + Wood + Parkinson + Gleeson is some serious bolstering available!
Last year iirc Glamorgan stuck with their squad and Durham added their 100 players. Really think there should be a rule in place to prohibit selection of players that haven't been in at least (say) 3 RLODC squads

Silly me, of course most of that bolstering is unavailable because they'll be playing Pakistan!
