Looking like Essex vs Somerset for the BWT. To be fair, its the two it should be and prob the best 2 teams of the past few years too.
We won't make 400 (and don't deserve to win anything at the moment with our extra curriculars) and Derby looking unlikely to win with weather forecasts

A shame really, a silly defeat against Essex cost us in the end. Been a good campaign I think, good to see more young players getting a chance across the board.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, there seem to be moves afoot to retain the conference system for the next season, but seeded rather than regional. I wouldn't mind that, as long as we have at the very least four sides progressing to the knockout stages - keeping as many teams as possible in contention would be good. And I do like a Lord's final.

Looking like there could well be a 2nd season without a CC victory for Notts. Ouch, massive ouch.
Not sure how to feel about a conference system, I see positives and drawbacks all round, whether it be seeded or by location. My preference would prob be by location - top 3 and best 2nd place team into 5 day semi's with 2 best placed teams at home or neutral grounds to avoid pitch fixing.....as i'd said previously, the South group would be a tough looking one, whilst in North and Central Somerset and Yorks would have to do something utterly pathetic not to come top of the groups.
Financially, I think location rather than seeding is a better idea, less travel would save counties a decent bit of money and time and would guarantee derbies, which if we do get fans back in would make a difference too.

Applying the above methodology, we'd have Somerset vs Kent and Essex vs Yorks semi finals, if we'd done a full season, that'd be some good entertainment, which given they were 1, 2, 4 and 5 last year, seems about right too

Tee hee. Completely disagree with the latter bit. Yes there’d be savings, but it would mean some counties only ever had a chance to meet each other in the knockouts. Also as somebody who lives down south but supports Durham... yep, not for me thanks. Anyway, Essex vs. Somerset is it? That seems familiar... 🤔
