Maybe it's the fact that it's The Old Enemy, but I can see myself taking a passing interest in this. I'm still not sure who to support (not bleddy NSW, that's for damn sure): either Victoria, with Fawad Ahmed, or Tasmania to keep an eye on young Jake Doran.

I think it would be fair to say South Australia are struggling. 1/3 after 3 overs in reply to NSW 262/9d.
Only run so far was a Leg bye...
Starc has 2-2-0-2
Edit: Finally a run off the bat! Travis Head is the man!

I adopted South Australia as my team after Phil Hughes passed. Tasmania's team is young & exciting. Why would you support Fawad?!

Soft spot for the leggie who gets carted around, I guess! Unless he plays for Yorkshire.

Being born in Western Australia, I can't really support anyone else. ^^
Seem to have a reasonable team and start to the season.

Steadzz, 3/3 after 6 overs in response to a modest NSW batting effort isn't great at all.

202* for Klinger, and maiden FC ton for Ashton Agar to put WA in a pretty strong position.
Unsurprisingly SA went from 3/3 to 120ao and NSW are in a commanding position.

Tasmania in all sorts of trouble at the end of day 2 as they trail by 330 runs with just five wickets remaining. On a side note, while looking for my man Andrew Tye, I just found out that Mitch J plays for WA, I thought he was with Queensland. Him and Behrendorff form a lethal new ball attack and they showed that by cutting the Tassie top order to shreds.

Travis Dean, on First Class debut, made 154* and 109* in Victoria's win against Queensland. He was on the field for the entire game. Not a bad start to his career. www.espncricinfo.com/australia/content/player/334358.htmlEdit: Probably deserved his chance too. His previous 3 games for Victoria U23s went 187*, 0, 43, 116, 217*, 63.

Another failure for Doran. Meanwhile, in their first game without Smith and Starc, NSW have had to rely on the rain gods to avert defeat. #cheats

Changed this to a bigger Sheffield Shield thread. NSW should definitely be playing with a handicap. Warner, Smith, Nevill, Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood, Lyon. That’s 6/9 dead certs and 7/11 in a very likely final team.

Two hatricks in a game for Starc.
Is it cowardly to pray he steps on a ball?
