From what I've seen of him, Leicestershire sounds about appropriate.

Rilee's a very promising player. Another good coup for Leicestershire

Somerset have signed Yasir Arafat as a non-overseas player on loan (?) from Hampshire. He'll play all white ball forms. Bit of a strange one that, we're not that short of bowling and have way too many EU passport type dodges around the overseas rule already.
We could conceivably field Tom Cooper, Jim Allenby, Roelof van der Merwe, Tim Groenewald, Yasir Arafat and Johann Myburgh in the same game alongside a genuine overseas player. Not sure that's a particularly good thing, albeit we're also generating plenty of young English talent: Abell, the Overtons, Gregory, Ryan Davies, Leach and Hose are all 'the right kind of player'
We just haven't got many English qualified senior pros these days; Hildreth, Trego and Trescothick are just about it.

Confirmed stayings included? Captain Jennings has agreed a 4-year contract with Durham. Sri will be breathing a sigh of relief.

I'm amazed that no one has update this thread with the news of Barrow leaving Somerset. Mutually beneficial decision not to offer him another contract. i'm sure all of the big teams are preparing bids as we speak...

Adam Wheater leaving Hampshire to return to Essex on loan. Wants the gloves, but Hampshire's highest scoring batsman this season... suspicion is that all is not well behind the scenes at Hants.

Yes, certainly some bafflement on the Hants facebook page.

So Wheater didn't even play for Essex... That move really makes sense

Did say Wheater was for Essex's last 3 games only I think. Not sure why.

Where's that Surrey fan who was arguing with me about them getting an unfair rap for signing other people's players gone...

I have nnothing to say apart from the fact that I hope he does well. A fantastic servant to the county who is just getting better and better. Hope he plays for England consistently. Fare well badger.
