That'll get him in the Test team if nothing will! Footitt, Currans, and Batty - that's terrifying.

That is a HUGE signing! Not really sure we needed another seamer but not going to complain one bit. Possible title challengers now i think.

i've been saying Surrey for the title next season all along, now that is just music to my ears, even if I would have loved for him to join us.

Massive signing, that is an incredible bowling lineup.

I was thinking of a single first-class game (although I omitted Ansari as an all-rounder), but there's no denying that Surrey's reserve bowlers aren't bad either.
Well, not just bad. They're either decent, or terrible.

At first I thought that was a bit unnecessary but in fairness, do they have any seam bowlers over the age of 21 left? Linley has gone, Tremlett's retired, Dernbach is...Dernbach and Meaker looked to be on the way out last I heard? Hopefully he'll be really useful as a mentor to Curran too.

Footitt. Is he definitely leaving closed season? Most teams be interested I assume. Hoping somerset could get him but expect Surrey to revert to type and sign him blocking a place for a young player... always knew it was going to happen...

It doesn't come as a huge surprise but Moores is staying on at Notts, signed on as coaching consultant for another two years.

Wouldn't honestly be bothered if Pringle left. Hickey though, I would hate to see leave.
There are a couple of spinners coming through and I feel Pringle, at least in the LO stuff was far too expensive without being an effective wicket option. Even in CC, he was contributing more with the bat than with the ball.
While he did take a few wickets, that was only when conditions really suited him and I'd rather have a proper spinner, even if he couldn't bat as well, over Pringle, considering we have Borthwick's leggies to spare. And badger is doing a lot to improve his and he is our front-line spinner in LO stuff anyway.
Hickey is a talent and considering he does open, I'd hate to see him go, at least not without fulfilling his potential at Durham and winning a championship or two before he leaves
