Oh, I quite agree with you as to the why, but I like keep my opinions and information from reliable sources separate.

Leics for Div 2 title anyone? I hesitate to go quite that far... I could see them solidly mid-table though, given the signings they've made.

Songster, happy with the signing of Fuller? Will an England cap (For Pedants: I know he is KIWI) make the team bowl Fuller? (I'll get my coat)

A pacer. The one area that Middlesex have in abundance is skilled seam bowling, and they get a pacer. Finn, Murtagh, Harris, Toblerone. PACER.
Sigh.
Maybe I'm being harsh on him. He's fast, rather than fast-medium or medium-fast, which will add a certain new option to the attack on pitches that might not otherwise do loads. But I can't help feeling that Middlesex should be spending their budget (presumably substantial, given Finn and Morgan with their centrals and the small matter of Lord's) on bolstering their opening, middle-order, or (optional) trying to do the impossible and unearth a spinner.

Hey, they have Rogers that settles opening, if they get Voges back, then the middle order is also set no?

Depends if Rogers Kolpaks. That still leaves 2/6/7 suspect. I daresay Franklin will continue to be unconvincing in the middle order.

Fair enough. Then again, you aren't the only side with batting issues to address. At least I'm glad Durham have kept hold of Muchall.

Although i agree Middlesex do need to strengthen their batting, Fuller looks like a good capture. He is quick, can bat at 8 (possibly higher in the shorter stuff) and will allow rotation when Finn is with England, Murtagh with Ireland and the other two both likely Lion's candidates.
What is Sandhu like. He did offer you variation with left arm, but clearly not good enough? I'd like Somerset to sign a leftie to compliment the otherwise RFM.

RE: Leic. Could be a surprise package. Can't see Sussex doing much next year unless they pull off a couple of blinding signings. Probably Worcs for the title with Kent, Essex and perhaps Leic pushing them. I suppose it all depends if notts come and in do their usual poaching of Leic players?
Glos will be gutted with Fuller going as they looked to have the base of a good bowling attack. Batting looked a little brittle and perhaps their entire season will swing on Klinger coming back?

I can't help feeling there might be the odd div. 2 team who rolls over at the very sight of Magoffin, and an out-of-form Joyce is still likely to be a match for the lower division. I wouldn't rule Sussex out quite yet.
That said, Worcs./Kent if I had to put my money anywhere. Essex seem to have more potential than they manage to match.

Whoop whoop, up to Alex Barrow! A mystery how he is still playing for Somerset along with Myburgh and Allenby. I suppose he is at least local player...

Both, along with Wright, offer some class, but the rest of the team, particularly the bowling strength is very weak. If it is a hot summer with spinning wickets they will definitely be up against it. But, if hey get on roll and get some early wins under their belts then who knows.
