The last WCL3 underway today in Oman, another massive tournament with the top 2 promoted to WCL2 and possible ODI status. Going for the hosts and Uganda to prevail, which will definitely not happen based on my previous predictions.

It’d be very exciting if Denmark won. Another European team!
Poor old Kenya, eh?

Got crushed by USA today too, so going to be bottom of the table with a terrible NRR. Very sad to see their decline from those heady days of the early 2000s.

Good win for Kenya over Uganda today, Oman looking good for promotion with 3 wins out of 3.

Home advantage is massive in these tournaments. Think our friends from across the pond might take the second spot now, which would be quite something. Would be huge for American cricket if they could win promotion and then sneak into the top four in WCL2, thus gaining ODI status and 36 guaranteed fixtures.

Having an NN Odhiambo and an NM Odhiambo in the same team is just irritating. They don’t even appear to be related!

The final WCL Division 2 tournament in the fourth round of matches in Namibia. Top four teams get ODI status. Oman continuing their meteoric rise through the ranks, Canada on the slide, and another very closely fought tournament. Think PNG will miss out along with Canada, with Namibia, USA and Hong Kong along with Oman making up the top four.

Namibia and PNG secure the two other ODI spots, Canada missing out by three runs on net run rate. Fantastic tournament with lots of quality cricket and loads of drama.

Jersey and Italy both three from three in t20 world cup qualifying, looks like the winner of their game will be the European qualifier for the world qualifier.
Impressive organisation; 4 games rained off today so they've extended the tournament by a day and will play on Thursday instead... weather permitting. Of course, it does make things easier when you're playing on an island that's 5 miles long.

Bubbling up nicely now - Jersey thumped Italy (Italy beat them in the previous round) - but Germany crushed Denmark with Meschede making 67 and Michael Richardson making his t20i debut (since apparently these are now full t20i status). If Germany beat Norway (6th, 0 wins from 4), it sets up a winner takes all clash between Germany and Jersey in the afternoon. Both games at the same ground, so a hugely exciting day tomorrow for the tens of supporters.
Noticed earlier that the Italy team featured 0 players born in Italy!
