India's spinners do it again, restrict SA from about 320 to 270. That Nohit is a liability running between the wickets. He almost cost Dhawan his wicket again. #Gethimout
EDIT: Duminy's first over was eventful to say the least. Morkel drops a dolly and then the disease spreads to AB. AB DROPS A CATCH. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING. BECAUSE AB DROPPED A CATCH.

Blimey. Bowler getting MotM in an ODI. Doesn't happen often nowadays, unless the bowler is Starc. Also, it's a pacer in the subcontinent. Good stuff.
Is it just me, or is Big Dale not all that in ODIs?

Dale doesn't look as threatening in ODIS perhaps he should retire and just play tests. Rabada and morkel look more likely to take wickets anyways.

SIR is in the Test squad. I suppose 24 wickets from 2 matches including four-straight five-wicket hauls and an average of 8.25 was simply too good to resist.
My test XI would be
Vijay, Dhawan, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Saha, Jadeja, Ashwin, Mishra, Bhuvi and Ishant (if everyone is fit and available for selection)

India won the toss and chose to bat. Hosts unchanged and SA without arguably their best pace bowler and most consistent all-rounder.
SA playing two front-line spinners, India playing three. Where are we playing? Where else but Chepauk. #eastorwestchennaiisthebest

35/2 isn't an ideal start for India.

well they were 29/0 after 5 overs. But Nohit gave his wicket away cheaply, again... and Dhawan was, well, Dhawan. At least the two best batsmen in the side have plenty of time to build a partnership

Raina seems to fall into the same "more talent than application" bucket as Nohit.

to be fair to him, he plays no.5 and 6 and more often than not comes in at a scenario where he needs to hit big from ball one. And he has a short ball problem, which he is doing his utmost to eradicate. He is nowhere near that Nohit, who is far more talented.

de Villiers falls for 112. Truly excellent knock once again.

India win comfortably in the end but this was a game that should be rewatched again and again for two modern geniuses of ODIs.
First it was Virat setting the platform for his side with a magnificent hundred, then AB almost pulling off a miraculous heist by scoring a run-a-ball hundred on a turning pitch.

What a knock from Faf. Cramping up and he still scored 133.
...Almost a shame that AB's now overshadowing it.
Oops, jinxed him!

When that South Africa top order fires, boy does it fire.
Very enjoyable to watch as a neutral, and AB awesome as always.
