www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/jul/25/sky-ecb-twenty20-cricket-colin-graves?CMP=share_btn_twThis claims that Sky is bidding £40m to broadcast a revamped domestic T20 tournament in 2017 based around eight city-based teams. There's plenty more in the article, most notably that the ECB is exploring the option to still run the 18 county T20 tournament alongside the new one, and that Sky wants the new tournament to be a block in the summer. Edit: Forgot to mention that the article also says that Championship matches may be reduced to 12. Thoughts?

Format I hate on a broadcaster I hate. Match made in heaven!
But seriously, by restricting it to Sky, the cricket will still have the problem it's had for the last goodness knows how long: not reaching enough people.

Wave a cheque that big in front of the ECB and they would introduce clown cars and rubber duck beaks for dismissed batsmen.
