240 is a tough ask, but when there is Charlotte Edwards, there is always hope. Should be a tight contest. I would've been happy with something around 220.

Australia have been very clever, bringing the spinner on early. 7 off 3 overs... and there's the pressure wicket.

Plenty of batting still left, England need to bat sensibly now.

And they have first blood. Well done England. Do what the men's team can't do, win the damn trophy

Let's not be too hasty about the men - they could win the next three tosses. Well done England, though. Nat Sivver back to her beast! (Typo, but let's keep it that way.)

That was tongue in cheek, anyways England do look well poised to make a three-peat

What's up with Shrubsole? Seems to be bowling a really mixed bag. Just hit a poor run of form?

England finally have a breakthrough. Big wicket of Villani

Australia are cruising this, despite Villani. And Perry hasn't even seen the ball yet. Just think if AB de Villiers had married Perry, and the sort of child they'd create.

One ABD is enough for the child to grow into the best cricketer of his generation Just as I type that Shrubsole gets a wicket.

Deserved wicket for Knight, bowled pretty well in these late overs.
Edit: Ha, don't think I've ever seen a stumping off a wide ball. 259 the total then.

At the risk of mockering Knight and (particularly) Edwards, this is not a bad start. Not at all. A good platform will allow Sciver to go ballistic near the end of the innings.
Lanning, though. Wot a knock.

Batted Charlie! What a player.
EDIT: Aaaah, tables turning. Hope this doesn't precipitate a collapse.
EDITEDIT: Ferling proving to be a bit of a godsend for England so far this series.
