I'm looking forward to this one. A great chance for some younger/fringe players to make their names and a realistic shot at silverware for every county.
Doing this now as the Hundred wildcards have been confirmed - so we have the finalised squads for those 8 teams. So who's being swiped from their counties? Well...
Group A:
Durham: Mark Wood (LS), Ben Raine (NS), Ben Stokes (NS), Brydon Carse (NS), Matty Potts (NS)
Essex: Dan Lawrence (LS), Sam Cook (TR)
Gloucs: Miles Hammond (BP), Benny Howell (BP), Ian Cockbain (WF), Ryan Higgins (WF), David Payne (WF)
Hants: Chris Wood (LS), Mason Crane (LS), James Vince (SB), Liam Dawson (SB)
Kent: Daniel Bell-Drummond (BP), Adam Milne* (BP), Zak Crawley (LS), Joe Denly (LS), Fred Klaassen (MO), Alex Blake (OI), Sam Billings (OI), Jordan Cox (OI)
Lancashire: Liam Livingstone (BP), Jos Buttler (MO), Richard Gleeson (MO), Tom Hartley (MO), Matt Parkinson (MO), Saqib Mahmood (OI), Alex Davies (SB), Luke Wood (TR)
Middlesex: Tom Helm (BP), Eoin Morgan (LS), Blake Cullen (LS), Steven Finn (MO), John Simpson (NS), Nathan Sowter (OI)
Sussex: Ravi Bopara (LS), Phil Salt (MO), Ollie Robinson (MO), Delray Rawlins (SB), George Garton (SB), Jofra Archer (SB), Chris Jordan (SB), Tymal Mills (SB), Luke Wright (TR)
Worcs: Moeen Ali (BP), Pat Brown (BP), Dillon Pennington (BP), Ross Whitely (SB), Ben Cox (TR)
Worst hit: Sussex (9 players), Kent (8), Lancashire (8), Middlesex (6), Durham (5), Worcs (5), Gloucs (5), Hants (4), Essex (2!)
Most common link: Sussex -> Southern Brave, 5 players
Sussex t20 specialists of late, and find basically their whole team selected, save for the 16 year old. Hampshire have made the last two OD finals and relatively well off here, as are Essex, could be absolute carnage if Simon Harmer gets going against fringe players. Durham don't lose too much as they rarely see Wood and Stokes anyway.
Group B:
Derbyshire: Luis Reece (LS), Leus du Plooy (WF), Matt Critchley (WF)
Glamorgan: Chris Cooke (BP), Colin Ingram* (OI), Timm van der Gugten (TR), David Lloyd (WF)
Leics: Colin Ackermann (MO), Callum Parkinson (NS), Josh Cobb (WF)
Northants: Adam Rossington (LS), Brandon Glover (OI)
Notts: Joe Clarke (MO), Alex Hales (TR), Steven Mullaney (TR), Samit Patel (TR), Tom Moores (TR), Matt Carter (TR), Ben Duckett (WF), Jake Ball (TR)
Somerset: Will Smeed (BP), Tom Abell (BP), Roelof van der Merwe (LS), Tom Lammonby (MO), Devon Conway (SB), Craig Overton (SB), Max Waller (SB), Lewis Gregory (TR), Tom Banton (WF)
Surrey: Jade Dernbach (LS), Jamie Overton (MO), Rory Burns (OI), Laurie Evans (OI), Will Jacks (OI), Jason Roy (OI), Jordan Clark (OI), Tom Curran (OI), Sam Curran (OI), Reece Topley (OI), Ollie Pope (WF), Liam Plunkett (WF)
Warks: Adam Hose (BP), Dom Sibley (BP), Chris Woakes (BP), Sam Hain (MO), Danny Briggs (SB), Jake Lintott (SB)
Yorkshire: Harry Brook (NS), Tom Kohler-Cadmore (NS), Adam Lyth (NS), Joran Thompson (NS), David Willey (NS), Matthew Fisher (NS), Adil Rashid (NS), Joe Root (TR), Dawid Malan (TR), Jonny Bairstow (WF)
Worst hit: Surrey (12 players), Yorkshire (10), Somerset (9), Notts (8), Warks (6), Glamorgan (4), Derbyshire (3), Leics (3), Northants (2)
Most common link: Surrey -> Oval Invincibles, 8 players
Surrey and Yorkshire predictably worst off after hoarding England players. This group a pretty tough call, Somerset always seem to have good depth so could well be up there.
* - denotes overseas players. As far as I can see, Milne and Ingram are the only two full overseas players in the 100 and the rest are t20 overseas, but may be wrong
Ngl my favourite realisation here is that the Oval side have initials OI
