Surprised to see Alex Davies move on - huge signing for Warks, must be one of the top keepers not in and out of the England squad atm. Presumably Vilas keeping most games instead of him a large part of it

Yeah I should think so, and Buttler if he's around. Lancashire benefited from the keeper log jam in Taunton when Buttler moved to them, so I think the next step has to be a promising young Warks keeper coming to Somerset...

Dan Worrall going domestic at Surrey for the next three seasons - won't count as an overseas (but would in Oz).
Good signing that, I wonder if we might see a bit more of this sort of thing in the post-Kolpak world, especially as I think it would also make them domestic eligible for the Hundred.
The picture the BBC have used is brilliant.

His statement's confusing. He's signed for Surrey, not Durham.

I think we all know "prestigious" means "highest-paying" and nobody in their right mind thinks Durham are that!

Harris back to Glamorgan next year. So soon after Gubbins... Something is really not right in the state of Middlesex.

Harris makes sense, he's not nailed down a first team place for years, Cullen and Bamber have both developed into good seamers, and Murtagh goes on forever.
Gubbins much more worrying for Middles you'd think.

Stoneman to Middlx on a three year deal, Surrey only offered one. One last contract I guess, hope he does well but does feel a bit like when Leics signed Horton, Dexter and co. on long deals without much obvious return.

Sam Northeast now off to Nottingham (on loan according to the BBC, but pretty sure his Hants contract is still terminated). Would love to know what's going on there. Hope he gets back to his best form soon enough as I'm sure he's still got a lot left to give (although playing 2 of his former clubs in one month of CC will be interesting)

That is a little strange.
Meanwhile Somerset have brought back Azhar Ali for the CC conclusion. Mediocre returns on the pitch when he was last around but people speak all the time about how good he was off the pitch with the young batsmen, which is nice.

Phil Salt and Chris Jordan both leaving Sussex. Big blow for them.

Finn to Sussex to soften the blow somewhat.

Abbas back to Hampshire for the rest of the CC. Misses the Yorkshire game, but then having Abbott, Abbas, Barker & Wheal running in in September for the last three games sounds pretty challenging! That quartet only played 2 games together (and it was Midds & Leics) but took 31 wickets at 11.55 in those.

Interesting - Zafar Gohar to Gloucs, Chemar (not Jason) Holder to Warks and Azhar Ali to Somerset the other overseas that I've seen signed. Feels like the lower divisions are saving their money, which is understandable really but might take the shine off the general positivity around this format if the lower divisions are just a development comp.
