Marchant de Lange from Glamorgan to Somerset to fill one of the two overseas spots for the next two seasons.
Interesting signing that, bit of a direct Joverton replacement. Assume that means Philander has other offers!

David Bedingham and Bancroft to be Durham's overseas, with the hope that Bedingham can get a UK passport at some point and free the slot up.
Presume that means no return for Behardien.
Borthwick returns and gets the captaincy.
It would be nice to see Durham on the way up again.

Cummins and Goins
Lots of overseas announcements in the next few days I think. Getting those fantasy team lists up to date!

Will Young to start off in Durham as Bancroft cover. Dare I say that a Kiwi might be better placed to face the swinging ball in April than Bancroft?

I hope he's paid plenty to bat at CLS in April.

Surrey get Sean Abbott, who joins Ollie and Kyle in the Ecclesiastical XI.
Worcs. get Hanuma Vihari, who doesn't.

Time for some predictions I suppose?
County Champions: Surrey. Lots of good players, lots of England players around for the first part of the season.
Bob Willis Trophy: Essex. I can see Harmer making hay at the tail end of the season against a depleted Surrey.
Top run scorer: Peter Handscomb (Middlesex). Lords games usually high scoring, good availability
Top wicket taker: Ollie Robinson - class, probably misses out on England once more and not much else taking wickets at Sussex

This feels like it should be in the other thread, but I still can't see past Essex for everything unless Harmer pulls a quad or something.

Interesting goings on at Hants, very intrigued to know what's happened between Northeast and Birrell (or other staff) that he's left having signed a contract only a few months ago, and that the club are happy to let him. Gubbins to replace him probably another sign that Middlesex is a bit of a mess right now, with very few senior players left! Yorkshire doing well to snap up various loan deals, although anyone's guess where Northeast will be next month (Surrey maybe?)

Very interesting news all round. Not really sure what I think, Yorkshire signing another struggling-once-quality player to go with Ballance seems like a risky move. If they both find form then fantastic but between them they must be a fair chunk of the budget. Assuming it's not *just* short term there.
