Somerset will probably win comfortably from here, judging from how this match has swung around like nobody's business.

I tend to think Hampshire have a pretty good bowling attack, but that was ridiculous. Abbott: 36.2 - 12 - 86 - 17 The rest: 61 - 8 - 187 - 3 To think I spent today and yesterday applying for grad jobs rather than going to the witness that...

Staggering performance from Abbott, fair play to him. As for Kent....not sure why they're carrying on to be honest! We've no chance of knocking off anything over 250 never mind 450

Abbott finishes the match off with his 17th wicket of the match, looks like a shoot-out for the title next week.

Abbott absolutely demolished us at the tail end of last season too from memory. I wouldn't mind, but he was bobbins against everyone else last year and not half as good as that this season. Why always us!

The Taunton pitch they're preparing has presumably gone from flat as a pancake back to Ciderabad over the last 24 or so hours. Going to be quite a finale

Abbott's last 5 bowling figures vs Somerset: 8-46, AB 2019 9-40, AB 2019 1-57, T 2019 6-84, T 2019 6-40, AB 2018 5-31, AB 2018
35 wickets at 8.5
Also, top 3 match performances in CC by Hants bowler: KJ Abbott 17-86 vs Somerset JA Newman 16-88 vs Somerset AS Kennedy 15-116 vs Somerset
I did wonder if Vince and Dawson were extra motivated by the fact they couldn't play in the One Day cup final, and wanted to prove a point. Not sure what turns Abbott into a monster vs Somerset though!

86/0 to 143 all done. Absolutely Quintoned that up. Any ideas why a seaming pitch and not a turner was prepared? Lack of confidence in Bess and looking at Overtons/Gregory et al to win it? Or just weather not allowing for a pitch to be prepped that way?

Home game for Hants, and Felix Organ is our spinner with the most wickets (Dawson 7 wickets @ 74 and Crane 5 wickets @ 108 going into this) so seaming pitch a no brainer. I'm slightly surprised Somerset played v d Merwe and Bess and left out JOverton, though

Another 3 early wickets for Stevens, surely the chequebook should be out now
