Div. 1:
Kent v. Essex (Canterbury) Warks. v. Som. (Edgbaston) Sur. v. Hants. (Oval) Yorks. v. Notts. (Scarborough)
Div. 2:
Glam. v. Lancs. (Colwyn Bay) Derbs. v. Gloucs. (Derby) Suss. v. Middx. (Hove) Northants. v. Worcs. (Northampton) Dur. v. Leics. (CLS)
A slightly odd round, this, sandwiched in between Blast periods; but all eighteen teams are in action, mostly at primary grounds.
All eyes on Essex and Somerset from now, of course. Both teams will think they should walk these matches, although Warwickshire might be a slightly sterner test on a ground not made for Simon Harmer. Toss'll be crucial. Nottinghamshire need to string together a couple of wins on the bounce to avoid the drop, and Yorkshire at Scarborough doesn't seem like the obvious time to start. Surrey vs. Hampshire just seems like a really good game assuming the rain holds off. Sam Curran might need to leave midway through.
Then to Division 2, where the top two face off in theory but in practice Lancashire should walk this, like they have done every other match. Every game's important here though. Northamptonshire Durham and Middlesex are separated by two points, and then it's another 13 to where Gloucestershire and Glamorgan are tied on 129. Every game is crucial. Almost anyone could still be promoted, although Leicestershire need to start winning now really; but vs. Durham at CLS? Bowl first and anything's possible.

Gone big and skippered mo. Brave, maybe, foolish, certainly.... But I'm backing him to smash it with bat and ball away from the spotlight. Fraine will be first wicket to ball

First wicket is at Northants and Moeen’s in already. Big chance to get himself back in contention

Well that's me done for the next 4 days. 3 down inside 15 mins. Continued embarrassment for our top order.

Did I say that Yorkshire at Scarborough doesn’t look like a good place to start? Silly me.
Could be worse though: you could be a Worcs. fan...

Very nice of the Worcestershire top seven all trying to club together and help Moeen get back in the England team by making him appear a class above 😂

Hampshire having the desirable problem of having to fit Vince, Dawson and Northeast back into the team and appear to have decided to continue the experiment with James Vince opening (I wonder if the ECB are still requesting this?). Surrey bowlers will aim to defend Roy's place in the team by getting him caught behind for 20.
Edit: BBC Sport fooled me, he is batting at 3.

As a result England will play Vince in the fourth Ashes Test and everybody else will scream quietly.

Oh dear, not only did I miss that this round existed and fail to update my fantasy team (very lucky that 10/11 players are playing, but still) but Somerset are not looking in a great spot.

Should be logging in here every two days at least Nemo. That way you wouldn’t miss things like this.
Somerset not looking great, correct. Durham though... 😍

I promised i'd stay away from this after our start yesterday, but can't resist......V bad start for Somerset, to win from here looks unlikely, Essex look in a stronger position but you never know til both teams have batted.
Gotta say Balladeer, if Lees has made a ton, that must be a hella road.....
On the fantasy front, Abbas continues to be the largest disappointment of the season and Moeen Ali (and Pierre) desperately needs to start taking wickets....he's shipping nearly 4 an over again, this could break him.

544/9 at Chester-le-Street? BY DURHAM? We're through the looking glass here, aren't we?

Look at Leics.’ innings in response. Somehow they’ve swapped out CLS for Dubai.
