Very slow start from the Indians, 54/1 from 16. Considering recent ODI scores (I know it's almost an Indian second team) Zimbabwe still have to be very happy with their start!
EDIT: Massive wicket for Tiripano! Great catch by Masakadza! Zimbabwe will fancy themselves now

81/4. Blimey. I do like a nice low-scoring ODI series - might follow this one in the background.

92-5 now! Surprised Srihari hasn't joined in this discussion yet Chibabha is bowling beautifully though, just hitting the perfect line and length and the Indians haven't known what to do!

Let's be honest, though, it's a bit of a rubbish side India have sent over. But here's hoping the Zim can take advantage of their hubris.

As i said in the other Ashes thread, until India play against a good team with proper players, I'm not going to be bothered. The fact that I didn't even know there was a game today should tell you how much I care if we win or lose this. Also, India has no bench strength, aside from maybe the opening slot, but that's about it. So I won't be surprised if Zim actually win this series

You say rubbish, only 2 players in the Indian team have played less than 10 ODIs. It's not like a whole new team. It will be good for Zimbabwe to win this series anyway, get their confidence up!
Bit harsh to say Zimbabwe aren't a good team, especially after you lost to Bangladesh who have been beaten by Zimbabwe a few times. Zimbabwe have proper players too. Sean Williams especially is a very good player who would get into a fair few other international sides.

I honestly couldn't care less about ODIs in general. I only really follow them during WC and Champions Trophy. Otherwise I don't see much point in them. Anyways, I didn't say this Indian side is inexperienced, I said it was second string. when you bring a guy (Bhajji) out of retirement just to play in this, you know you yourself don't take it seriously.
I have nothing against Zim, I actually enjoyed Brendan Taylor and the times of Heath Streak and all the glory years before that, but now they are a shadow of their former selves.

I don't really care for ODIs massively either, although my interest has grown of late simply because I get bored quicker at home.
Brendan Taylor is an incredible story and a brilliant player. It's a shame he wasn't South African or else he could have played more tests

Arguably wouldn't have been good enough to play for SA, but a brilliant servant of what must have felt like a disappointing team.
But enough about his stint at Nottinghamshire.

255 looked a long way away at 87-5. Good knock from Rayudu, who is starting to win me over. But still think this should be a cakewalk for the Zim batsmen if they bat sensibly.

It's the Zimbabweans, they never bat sensibly. Masakadza always gets in then throws it away with over-confidence.

This is a series, isn't it? Shifted it across. I don't know whether bilateral ODI series really count (unless they're really good ones like Eng. vs. NZ), but it's here for now.
And Zim. are letting it slip again. Well there's a surprise.

Masakadza normally bats much quicker than this and throws it away around now.
Edit: Oh look at that.

With the run rate just at just 6.5 and two set batsmen at the crease, this should be a comfortable finish for Zim, but knowing how they are, I wouldn't bet against them collpasing again. Edit: As i say it Raza falls

Fantastic knock by the captain, but can he see them home? EDIT: Unfortunately not as a fantastic last over from Bhuvi, which included five yorkers and an attempted yorker that wins it for India.
