Bugger. England win the toss. The main hope for a competitive game out of the window. You were saying.

Amazing, just woke up from a much needed nap to find us 7 down for squat. Immense.

They’re better at reviewing than England too.

Joe Denly England's best batsman. I could have told you that for free. (Or Olly Stone, possibly).

Ireland all out for 60, pitch inspectors to Lords' and the ECB fined and deducted points

Shaun on ESPN makes an intersting point......."Broad is England's 2nd highest wicket taker through virtue of just being there & not because he got there in less tests than others. His average of 29 (Majority matches in English conditions) makes him quite average in the world of international bowlers." Sorry Stuart, those 437 wickets don't count according to Shaun!

In Broad's defence, 2 shocking bits of fielding from Root and Root/Bairstow not helping him out here

Curran and Woakes with the new ball. Broad first change. Discuss.

So England’s World Cup winning quintet playing this game are all decent batsmen but scored 7 runs between them.
The two bowlers took 1 wicket in 14.2 overs while the rest of the team managed 9 in 44.
Can’t think of any other team sport where you’re playing again less than a fortnight after the World Cup, and it shows. So tough to go from 8 weeks of white ball and 2 weeks of celebrating into a 4 day slog
