Indeed, Yorks the only side without an overseas player (and Lancs the only side to use 2). So Durham just have to win (well, not lose) to qualify! Oh is that all?[/s] Also, great shame that Durham’s match against an Alex Hales-boosted Notts. was washed out.[/s]

A ton for Bell-Drummond to go with his 2-36 (9 overs). He really is a top quality allrounder, it turns out!
Hants top the group, can put their feet up on Tuesday without having to worry about the battle for 2nd, which suddenly Sussex* and Somerset don't seem to want...
*Unless Wiese and Brown produce another madness

Wow. Okay that team is weak, much though I have confidence in Durham to find a way to screw it up. What’s happened to... well everyone? But especially Ballance and Tattersall.

So in the end, Durham could've done with a whole match against Notts! Harsh that 4 wins 2 losses with a better run rate isn't deemed better than 5 wins 3 losses IMO. Not their fault the weather's shite up North.
Quality batting today really, the 6 completed innings all over 300, best goes to Wessels, at one point thought he was aiming for 352 on his own! And Samit reminding us once a season that he still exists by taking Notts over the line

Wonderful climax building up for the last 2 spots! The two teams in contention that were bowling bowled well, the two teams in contention that were batting batted well.
Middlesex somehow avoided being obliterated by Bell-Drummond and Renshaw’s bowling, and just need to survive their batting to qualify... as for 3rd, feck knows! Hope somebody’s got their calculator ready

That was an astonishingly bad prediction.

Anthony Gibson commentating on Worcs v Somerset has just done about ten minutes on wokeness, narrowly avoiding going full Piers Morgan.
Back to the cricket, perhaps...
